The shock-absorber


The back suspension bracket of the car dependent, includes directing device, elastic elements and the devices extinguishing fluctuations of a body. The beam of the back bridge is connected with a body шарнирно by means of jet bars – two bottom 3 (fig. 6.2) and two top 9 longitudinal and one cross-section bar 1. Longitudinal bars transfer pushing and brake efforts from driving wheels through a beam of the back bridge to a body. The cross-section bar keeps a body from lateral displacement. Jet bars are attached to arms of a body and a beam of the back bridge through резинометаллические hinges which are structurally executed equally and differ only in the sizes. The hinge consists of the rubber plug 5 established in an eye of a bar, распорной plugs 6 which passes through an aperture of the rubber plug, a persistent washer and a bolt of fastening of a bar. Elastic elements of a suspension bracket consist of the twisted cylindrical springs, two basic buffers 12 courses of compression and the additional buffer of compression 10. The spring established in a suspension bracket leans the top end against a basic cup through a rubber isolating lining 11 which is placed in a steel stamped cup of a body. The bottom end of a spring leans against a cup of a beam of the back bridge through isolating lining 2. The basic buffers 12 are established in springs and fixed грибовидным by a clamp in apertures of the top support. The additional buffer 10 is established on an arm attached by bolts to the bottom of a body. The extinguishing device consists of two hydraulic shock-absorbers.

Check of a technical condition of a back suspension bracket on the car
Check a condition of a back suspension bracket from below the car established on the lift or a viewing ditch. On rubber details of a suspension bracket are not supposed:
– Signs of ageing of rubber;
– Mechanical damages.
On резинометаллических hinges signs of ageing, a crack, unilateral выпучивание a rubber file are not supposed. Defective details replace.
Check up, whether there are mechanical damages (deformations, cracks, etc.) no suspension bracket elements, especially bars of a suspension bracket and an arm of a cross-section bar on a body.
At check attentively examine:
1. Rubber plugs of the bottom hinges and...
2.... Pillows of the top hinges of shock-absorbers.
3. Shock-absorbers. Begin to flow liquids and «потение» are not supposed.

4. Rubber plugs of the hinge of fastening of a cross-section bar to a beam of the back bridge...
5.... The hinge of fastening of a cross-section bar to an arm on a body...
6.... Hinges of fastening of the top longitudinal bars to the back bridge...
7.... Hinges of fastening of the bottom longitudinal bars to the back bridge...
8.... Hinges of fastening of the top longitudinal bars to a body...
9.... Hinges of fastening of the bottom longitudinal bars to arms on a body.

Removal and installation of longitudinal bars of a back suspension bracket
Longitudinal bars remove for replacement at their damage or for replacement of the worn out hinges of bars.
The top bar is attached through резинометаллические hinges by the forward end to a body longeron, back – to an arm on a beam of the back bridge.
The bottom bar is attached through резинометаллические hinges by the forward end to an arm on a body floor, back – to an arm on a beam of the back bridge.

       THE NOTE
Removal and installation of longitudinal bars of a back suspension bracket are shown on an example of removal of the left bottom and top longitudinal bars. The right bars are replaced similarly.

1. If work on the lift, establish under a beam of the back bridge of a support and lower the car, slightly having loaded a suspension bracket.
2. For replacement of the bottom longitudinal bar turn away a nut of bolts of fastening back and...
3.... Forward the bar ends.
4. Take out bolts and remove a bar.
5. Establish a bar in an order, the return to removal.
6. For removal of the top longitudinal bar turn away a nut of a bolt of fastening of the back end of a bar and take out a bolt.
7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the forward end of a bar and remove a bar from the car.
8. Establish a bar in an order, the return to removal.

Removal and installation of a cross-section bar
Cross-section bar remove for replacement at its damage or for replacement of the worn out hinges of a bar.
Keys «on 19» (two) be required to you.
1. The cross-section bar is attached through резинометаллические hinges by the right end to an arm 2 on a body longeron, left – to an arm 1 on a beam of the back bridge.
2. Turn away a nut of a bolt of fastening of a bar to the back bridge and take out a bolt.
3. Turn away a nut of a bolt of fastening of a bar to an arm on a body...
4.... Take out a bolt and remove a bar.
5. Establish a bar in an order, the return to removal.

GOOD ADVICE
For simplification of installation of a bar combine with the help a small beard распорную the plug of the hinge of a bar with apertures in a bridge arm, simultaneously inserting a bolt.

Replacement of hinges of bars of a back suspension bracket
Hinges of all bars have an identical design and differ only with the sizes, therefore their replacement is shown on an example of the top longitudinal bar. Hinges of other bars replace similarly.
It be required to you: send for выпрессовки and запрессовки metal and rubber plugs of bars or a special stripper, a hair brush, capacity with a soap solution.

       THE NOTE
Rubber plugs of hinges much more on external diameter, than apertures in eyes of bars. Therefore without wetting of plugs by a soap solution запрессовать them in eyes it will not be possible. Do not apply to this purpose консистентные some greasing – mineral oil destroy rubber.

1. By means of a special stripper or оправок suitable diameter выпрессуйте распорную the plug from the bar hinge.
2. Выпрессуйте the rubber plug from a bar.

THE PREVENTION
Rubber plugs of hinges of bars of a back suspension bracket have the various sizes:
1 – the rubber plug of the top longitudinal bar;
2 – the rubber plug of the bottom longitudinal and cross-section bars.

3. Before bar assemblage put a brush the sated soap solution on external and internal surfaces of the rubber plug, on an internal surface of an eye of a bar, and also...
4.... On an external surface распорной plugs.
5. Establish in an eye of a bar of a back suspension bracket at first rubber, and then распорную plugs.

Replacement of the shock-absorber of a back suspension bracket
The shock-absorber replace at leak occurrence absorber to a liquid or loss of efficiency of clearing of fluctuations.

       GOOD ADVICE
Repair of shock-absorbers by replacement of entering details is combined enough and demands corresponding skills of the executor and application of the special tool. Therefore we recommend to repair the faulty shock-absorber in a specialised workshop or to replace it in gathering and necessarily in pairs, replacing simultaneously and the second shock-absorber of a suspension bracket, even serviceable as characteristics of new and working shock-absorbers can essentially differ.

Work is more convenient for carrying out on the lift.

1. If you replace the shock-absorber on the lift, establish under a beam of the back bridge of a support and lower the car, slightly having loaded a suspension bracket. At work on a viewing ditch this operation is not required.
2. Turn away a nut of fastening of a bolt of the bottom hinge of the shock-absorber.
3. Take out a bolt from the bottom hinge of the shock-absorber.
4. Turn away a nut of fastening of a bolt of the top hinge of the shock-absorber.
5. Take out a bolt and remove the shock-absorber.

       THE NOTE
The worn out plugs, and also the plugs having mechanical damages or signs of ageing of rubber, replace new.

6. Establish the shock-absorber in an order, the return to removal.

       THE NOTE
Nuts of hinges of shock-absorbers tighten, when the suspension bracket will be loaded by weight of the car (on a viewing ditch or a platform). At work on the lift substitute under the back bridge a support and slightly lower the car (at work on a platform raise the bridge a jack) so that position of shock-absorbers approximately corresponded to their position under loading.

Replacement of a spring of a back suspension bracket
Replace a spring at presence at it mechanical damages or considerable deposits. Signs deposits: deterioration of smoothness of a course, frequent breakdowns of a suspension bracket; a visible warp of a back part of the car or a considerable difference on height of the forward and back parts, appeared while in service; strongly expressed traces of impact of coils of a spring.

       THE NOTE
Springs replace in the complete set.
On length under loading 6276 Н (640 кгс) springs are divided on two groups:
– The group And – is more length 192 mm;
– The group In – is equal length or less than 192 mm.
Springs of a class And can be not marked or have marks by a white paint on an outer side of coils, class springs In mark a black paint.

       GOOD ADVICE
Work is more convenient for carrying out on the lift with the assistant.

1. If you replace springs on the lift, establish under a beam of the back bridge of a support and lower the car, slightly having loaded a suspension bracket. At work on a viewing ditch this operation is not required.
2. Disconnect from the back bridge the bottom hinge of the shock-absorber («Replacement of the shock-absorber of a back suspension bracket» see). Take the shock-absorber aside that it did not prevent to work.
3. Lift the car to unload a spring.
4. Remove a spring.

       THE PREVENTION
Removal and spring installation carry out with the maximum care in avoidance «выстреливания» springs from a suspension bracket and reception of traumas.

5. Remove the bottom lining of a spring from a support on a beam of the back bridge.
6. Remove the top lining of a spring from a support on a body.
7. If necessary replace the buffer of a course of compression.
8. Establish a spring with linings on the car in an order, the return to removal. Turn a spring so that...
9.... Screw surfaces of linings have coincided with an end face of a coil of a spring.

       NOTES
Establish on the car at the left and on the right springs of one group.
Springs change in steams and together with linings. Establish springs of one class with springs of a forward suspension bracket.
In exceptional cases, when in a forward suspension bracket springs of a class are established And, installation in a back suspension bracket of springs of a class of Century is supposed

GOOD ADVICE
At removal and installation of springs application of any universal couplers of a spring from among available in free sale is optimum.
If to establish couplers on a spring, without hooking on them for last coils, and as much as possible to pull together a spring, its installation will considerably be facilitated.
